2 Day Glue On Composite Shoe Course
Course Cost is $499.99 CAD plus applicable taxes
Our composite shoe course is designed to give the horse owner the required skills to select a composite shoe based on their horse's individual needs, prep the trimmed hoof, modify and set up the shoe and finally apply the shoe. Need to learn the trimming first? Glue on courses are run consecutively with selected 3 Day Barefoot Trimming Courses.
Composite shoe applications covered in the course are done with Maxi-Cure Superglue, 11 finger tabs, Wolf Bush tabs, and the Duplo Classic Shoe, Duplo Base Plates, Easyshoe Octos, Easyshoe 3D's and Easyshoe Speed. This application technique can be applied to any composite shoes that can be glued on with superglue (cyanoacrylate).

Learn to Fit, Modify, and Apply Composite Shoes with Confidence
This hands-on course is designed specifically for horse owners who want to learn how to properly select, modify, and apply composite (plastic and hybrid) shoes. Whether you're supporting a rehab case or simply want to improve your horse’s comfort and soundness, this course will give you the skills and confidence to apply glue-on shoes effectively.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to assess your horse’s hoof and movement to select the right composite shoe
- Step-by-step hoof prep to ensure optimal adhesion and longevity
- Techniques for modifying shoes to add breakover, heel support, or improve fit
- Proper application methods using different types of adhesives
- Troubleshooting common issues and shoe failures
The most important factor in a successful 4-5 week shoeing cycle is proper shoe fit—a snug, supportive fit that matches the hoof shape and addresses your horse’s needs. This is closely followed by thorough hoof prep to ensure the adhesive bonds correctly, and a clean, precise application to lock everything in place.
Whether you're new to glue-on shoes or looking to sharpen your skills, this course offers real-world, practical training that you can take straight to the barn.
The full course balance is due at registration to secure your space. Course fees are non-refundable but are transferable to future course dates if notice to do so is given 30 days before the course start date.
