At OKSNHC we believe in continued education and a supportive approach to learning. Apprenticeship is offered yearly from March to November for a recommended minimum duration of two months to only one participant at a time. 

It is a requirement that all applicants of the apprenticeship program have completed in person a hands on trimming course, either the 3 Day Trimming Course at OKSNHC or a travelling course by OKSNHC hosted elsewhere. 

Apprenticeship includes attending the hands on trimming course each month as an apprentice teacher, as well as at a minimum one week per month participating in hands on trimming and glue on shoe applications for client horses at OKSNHC.

During the rest of the month the apprentice is encouraged to submit before and after case studies for review and coaching via weekly Zoom sessions in the Virtual Facebook Classroom. There are no required amount of trims or case studies per month, but the more the participant can document, the more direction they will receive for their educational and business benefit.

The apprenticeship also includes business coaching that touches on book keeping, client management, social media strategy, as well as client acquisition and retention specific to the trimming industry.

Participants are not required to live local to OKSNHC, but must be able to travel in each month for the 1-2 weeks of in person learning. There is no flexibility in the hands on course dates, but the onsite trimming part of the apprenticeship is somewhat flexible with enough notice for me to book clients accordingly. I am happy to tailor each apprenticeship to each individual students requirements.
 
The apprenticeship program is open only to graduates of the 3 Day Hands On Trimming Course, and includes free access to the Virtual Facebook Classroom for the duration of the apprenticeship.
