OKANAGAN SCHOOL OF NATURAL HOOF CARE
Welcome to
More Than a Course. A Complete Educational Journey.
At OKSNHC, we believe hoof care education should go beyond memorizing techniques or following a trimming method.
Our goal is to help horse owners, aspiring hoof care professionals, and equine enthusiasts develop the knowledge, understanding, and critical thinking skills needed to assess the individual horse in front of them and make informed hoof care decisions.
Whether you're looking to better understand your own horse's feet, learn to trim, pursue a career in hoof care, or expand your existing knowledge, we offer a variety of educational opportunities designed to meet you where you are in your journey. Students can begin with online learning, continue into hands-on training, and receive ongoing mentorship and support through our Virtual Classroom.
Our educational programs focus on understanding anatomy, function, biomechanics, pathology, and rehabilitation principles before applying that knowledge through practical hoof care. We believe that learning what not to trim is just as important as knowing what to remove, and that every trim decision should be guided by the needs of the individual horse.
Most importantly, we believe education never truly ends. As our knowledge grows, so does our ability to understand the hoof, the horse, and the relationship between the two. Whether you are just beginning your journey or have years of experience, OKSNHC provides opportunities for continued learning every step of the way.
