Off-site Clinic and Course Options
Costs vary depending on location and travel
Clinics and courses can be tailored to suit the needs of the group. We can do two day learn to trim classes where participants learn to trim their own horses, or we can expand and run a full 5 day learn to trim course if the host has enough horses available for students. We can also cover glue on shoes or rehab cases, the possibilities are completely up to the clinic host and organizers.
I also travel to do private 1 on 1 trimming coaching for rehab cases and those who want to learn at home, in a private setting, on thier own horses.
All off-site courses and clinics are subject to travel fees including airfare, hotel costs and a rental car if required. If you have a guest suite or other similar accommodations, those can be considered to reduce costs. However, a private comfortable space to recharge and relax in the evenings is required. If the situation allows, I sometimes travel with my husband so that he can assist with courses and clinics. In these cases, his airfare and related expenses are not charged to the host or students.
To host a 5 day trimming course the requirements are as follows:
The host must have a facility suitable for trimming multiple horses and have access to a minimum of 20 horses. 5 day courses have a minimum number of 4 students and a maximum of 8 (student numbers depend on the number of available horses). The host participates for free in exchange for organizing. Student cost is $2000 CAD per person (includes the pre-requisite online course), plus travel fees that are split between all participants.

The cost of this clinic is billed at $1000 CAD per day, (includes the pre-requisite online course for each participant), plus travel fees. Travel and clinic fees are split between all participants to determine per person costs.

Coaching for individuals who are wanting to learn to trim or who need help with a rehab case is billed at $1000 CAD per day plus travel expenses. This rate encompasses travel time the day before and the day after, as at a minimum it occupies three days of my time. If we can group together multiple individuals within the same geographic area and I can spend a 1/2 day with each, then participants can split the daily rate plus travel fees making it more affordable for each person. The online course is not included or required for off-site coaching, but it is highly recommended in order for the participant to get the most out of the session.
