Online Hoof Anatomy, Theory & Barefoot Trimming Course
This course is an online textbook, a resource you can refer back to at any time. It covers in depth hoof anatomy and function, how to evaluate hoof health, hoof distortion and pathology, how to formulate a trimming plan, how to use the tools and how to protect hooves when needed using boots, casting and other materials. It also includes access to our private students only Facebook group where you can post photos, ask questions and connect with fellow students.
As is a series of lectures and classroom theory only it is not meant to replace proper hands on training and education. You should always seek qualified professional help and guidance in person when learning to trim your horse's hooves. The hooves are the foundation of the horse and even small angle adjustments, minor trims and even not trimming enough material can have huge consequences for the horse. Please use this information at your own risk, and as it was intended - to educate students and accompany hands on guided instruction as they learn to trim.
This course provides the theory and classroom lectures that accompany our 5 Day Barefoot Trimming Course. It includes multiple videos, slideshows, pictures and text to facilitate many different learning styles. If you have already purchased the 5 Day Barefoot Trimming Course you do not need to purchase this course separately as it is included with your previous purchase.
